Paxton House is one of the finest country houses in the Borders and home to an outstanding collection of Chippendale furniture, Georgian costumes and a collection of art from Scotland’s National Galleries. Open every day of the week throughout the summer season, there is something for all the family. Great house tours with our engaging and experienced guides, a tearoom offering delicious homemade treats, 80 acres of garden and parkland to stroll around and lots of things for kids to do. We have an adventure playground, seasonal trails and boat trips up the River Tweed, when the tide is right.
